Faust School was founded in 1967 on the concept of providing students with an extraordinary education at an affordable price. It was started as a Kindergarten and Junior School by Miss Zinda Fernes in memory of her father, Late Joseph Faust Fernes. The school was located on Sarojini Devi Road, Secunderabad.

In the first year there were only Lower K.G. and Upper K.G. classes. From the following year. Classes were added each year until class 4. A large part of our success can be attributed to the many teachers who have taught here over the years. Children do not always have to be gifted to be successful. Patience and kindness are virtues that challenge and inspire students towards extraordinary achievements. However, they have to be balanced with discipline. Particular attention has always been given to the lower classes to instil a good foundation. Our school's motto 'Foundation for Life' says it all.

In February 1993 the school celebrated its Silver Jubilee on a grand scale. In 1999 the school relocated to East Marredpally. From 2002 one class was added each year till it became a high school in 2010. The school currently follows the Telangana State Government syllabus. Our first batch of Class 10 students graduated in 2011.

We completed 50 years of educational excellence in 2017. It is our dream that our students enter college and the workforce with confidence, and be prepared for the challenges that they may encounter. When they succeed in their chosen career, we will be happy to know that we had a small role to play in their success. We, the management and teachers of Faust School, hope to continue serving the children of Hyderabad and Secunderabad providing them with an excellence in education and a foundation for life.

From its humble beginnings with just 7 students Faust High School turned 50 in the year 2017. The school presently has a strength of over 1000+ children. Started in 1967 as a pre-primary school with two levels of kindergarten, the school slowly grew to accommodate four more primary classes. Named after the late Faust Fernes, the school was known as 'Faust Kindergarten and Junior School' founded by Ms. Zinda Fernes. Housed in the ancestral home of the Fernes family on Sarojini Devi Road in Secunderabad, the school is now located in East Marredpally. The school always stressed upon quality over quantity maintaining a Teacher /Student ratio of 1:20 Extra-curricular activities were encouraged and sports, cultural programs, music classes and recreational/educational outings were all a regular feature at Faust.

As we look back over the past 57 years, we could say that the success and popularity of our school has been primarily due to the band of dedicated teachers, who worked hard for the welfare of each child. Over fifty years we have had far too many teachers to mention here individually.

With a staff of sixty odd teachers, Faust School does its best to give a well rounded education to its students. I thank God for giving me the joy of celebrating the Golden Jubilee of our school and pray that He may continue to bless the school for many more years to come.

Being raised in a family where teaching was considered more of a passion than a profession, it came as no surprise to them, when I too decided to follow my my dream of becoming a teacher. I faced ridicule and criticism from my friends and relatives for choosing a profession which was least lucrative. I braved my way through all the negativity with the whole hearted support of my mother.

I had just completed my post graduation and was preparing for my B.Ed. entrance when a golden opportunity came knocking at my door. Zinda Ma'am, a dear family friend, called to ask if I would be interested in taking up the post of a teacher for 6 months. 6 months before I started my B.Ed. course and 6 months of gaining experience at Faust!! How could I ever refuse the offer?

My association with Faust dates back to that year of 1999, when I had entered its gates as a grade four teacher. 12 years, a B.Ed. degree and a teaching experience of 6 years later, I was once again approached by the then correspondent and friend Mrs. Mary Zachariah to join Faust, to work in the capacity of an academic coordinator. This was certainly a challenge, since I now had more responsibilities in my personal life. However, I decided to take on the challenge.

The period from 2011 till date has seen me grow from an academic coordinator to a Vice Principal and finally, the Principal of Faust High School.

The last 14 years have been the most enriching experience of my life. Learning from the two stalwart educationists Ms. Zinda Fernes and Mrs. Mary Zachariah have taught me the finer nuances of life. They have at all times helped me and I know that at every stage, I have their unstinted support.

My staff accepted me and the changes that came along with me. They played a vital role in helping us build a strong and firm foundation for the children.

My students leave no stone unturned in showering their love and affection on me. Something which never makes me regret my decision of choosing this profession.

I thank God Almighty for His plan and purpose for placing me here and I hope that I will be able to continue serving this institution, the way He would want me to.
